IO-Link Master
An IO-Link master controls IO-Link devices and initiates IO-Link communication, enabling bi-directional data exchange with the PLC (programmable logic controller) – it therefore acts as the interface between IO-Link devices and the PLC. IIoT-compatible masters also allow access to IO-Link cycle data and parameters via OPC-UA, MQTT, and JSON REST API.
The latest generation of masters enables fast cycle times of up to 400 µs and real-time capability to fully leverage the potential of high-speed IO-Link sensors. The master also supplies up to 4 A of current per port for connecting power-hungry actuators.
