GYRO / ANGULAR VELOCITY SENSORS

Gyro / angular velocity sensors are suitable for many applications, where operating speed needs to be measured. These include e.g. machinery and parts of machinery that move. Contactless and wear free measuring can withstand overloads and is therefore also suited for the needs of industry to measure angular speeds. Gyro sensors are available with 1-, 2- or 3-axis and with different measuring ranges.Nowadays some of the old fibre-optic gyros can be replaced with the sensors of Silicon Sensing Systems, one of the world leaders’ of MEMS-gyro manufacturers, thanks to their small drift.
