The RLS Orbis absolute angle sensor measures the angle between two objects. Angle measurement can be absolute or incremental: with absolute sensors, the angle information is immediately available after power is turned on, whereas with incremental sensors, one must first go to the home position and start counting from there.
The Orbis absolute angle sensor includes the following features:
- 14-bit resolution
- 8 Hall ASIC circuits
- Design allows installation at any point on the shaft
- Automatic calibration after installation
- Built-in fault diagnostics
