Stepper motors are synchronous DC electric motors designed to divide a full rotation into a precisely defined number of steps. With each electrical pulse sent to the motor, the rotor moves a fixed angle — typically 1.8° per step, which equals 200 steps per full revolution. This incremental motion enables highly accurate positioning without feedback systems such as encoders or other sensors.
