Product description
An Oval Gear flowmeter is installed in a metering chamber. A pair of oval gears, together with the upper and lower covers, form nearly sealed measuring cavities (due to rotation of the gear, so sealing is not an absolute). When liquid flows into the meter from the pipeline, the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet causes the gears to rotate. As they rotate, the cavities successively fill with liquid and discharge it to the outlet. Each cavity transfers a fixed volume of liquid, and one complete revolution of the gears corresponds to four fixed-volume displacements. The flow rate is determined by counting the gear rotations and multiplying by the known displacement volume.
