KLINGER® Maxiprofile grooved metal gaskets consist of a serrated metallic core with a soft facing material. This design combines the strength of a solid metal core with the superior sealing performance of compressible sealing layers. Both core and facing materials are available in various options, selected to match the specific requirements of the application.

The depth and profile of the groove are precisely engineered to facilitate densification of the facing material, ensuring a highly leak-tight seal even at low gasket stresses. This makes the KLINGER® Maxiprofile ideal for applications with limited gasket widths, such as vessel flanges, and it is commonly used in heat exchangers where multiple bar configurations can be manufactured to suit the flange design.

KLINGER® Maxiprofile gaskets are frequently chosen as an upgrade over spiral wound and metal jacketed gaskets due to their improved sealing performance, easier handling, installation, and storage. The robust structure also means that the gaskets do not stick to the flange and can be easily removed. In certain conditions, KLINGER® Maxiprofile gaskets can even be refurbished and reused — a rare feature among industrial gaskets.
