KLINGER®top-chem 2005
KLINGER® top-chem 2005 is a modified PTFE gasket that offers an economical solution for general industrial applications. The silica filler makes it particularly suitable for strong acids, and the gasket’s mechanical properties are sufficient for the majority of industrial applications. In terms of performance, top-chem 2005 is the best of the silica-filled PTFE gaskets (“red Teflon”). Suitability for temperatures above 120 °C should be verified with the KLINGER® Expert gasket selection program. For high-temperature and high-surface-load applications we recommend KLINGER® top-chem 2000. For flanges in poor condition, or when first-class tightness at lower surface pressures is required, KLINGER® top-chem 2003 is the better option.
