KLINGER® KFS (KGS/S) is a rubber-metal gasket designed specifically for water treatment. The gasket consists of a steel ring vulcanized with rubber. In the KFS (KGS/S) model, the increased thickness of the inner edge allows for even tighter joints and is therefore ideal for use with plastic, glass and fiberglass flanges. The steel ring provides support for the gasket and is considerably easier to install than gasket cut out of sheet, especially with larger seal diameters.
Applications
KLINGER® KFS (KGS) seals are suitable for use with water, gases, wastewater, acids, alkalis and hydrocarbons. Common applications include gas and water pipes.
