Flat Gasket KLINGERSIL C-4500

KLINGERSIL^® C-4500 is a high-quality carbon fibre based gasket material. The gasket is designed to be used with mild alkaline media and in high temperatures, making it particularly well-suited for applications in the pulp & paper and chemical industries. The gasket is suitable for high pressures and even continuous operating temperatures of up to 250 degrees. It has excellent load bearing characteristics. If needed, the gasket can be replaced with KLINGER® top-chem 2000 (PTFE-based), which is suitable for strong acids and alkaline media, or, with some reservations, KLINGER® Quantum, especially if there is a need to standardize gasket materials across the plant.

Typical uses

The carbon fibre based gasket is a suitable sealing material to be used with high temperature water and steam as well as oils, gases, brine solutions, fuels, alcohols, mild organic and inorganic acids, hydrocarbons, lubricants, and refrigerants.

Approvals

KLINGERSIL^® C-4500 gasket material has i.e. BAM, DIN-DVGW, TA-Luft, and Fire-Safe approvals.
