Whenever you step into the KLINGER Finland Oy office, you are greeted with a warm smile and a cheerful welcome. That greeting comes from our multi-skilled receptionist, Tarja Saarinen, who has been part of our team since 2015. The job of a receptionist is a versatile one, combining practical arrangements with smooth communication. Her strong expertise is evident every day – in the seamless daily operations, effective information flow, and the positive spirit of our work community.
Working as a receptionist at KLINGER Finland is anything but monotonous. Saarinen’s responsibilities are diverse, ranging from welcoming and guiding visitors to managing invoicing and organizing events together with the recreational committee and HR – whether it’s a Kick-off, summer party, or Christmas celebration. She is also responsible for invoicing for our gasket and product marking units, allocating purchase invoices related to fixed costs, and managing the rental and laundry services of workwear for the warehouse. She is also the contact person for cleaning services and she is a member of the administration team. Her broad job description requires strong organizational skills, situational awareness, and good interaction skills.
According to Saarinen, the best part of her receptionist job is seeing everything fall into place during events and in other tasks she’s responsible for. The joy these collective efforts bring to others is rewarding and gives her strength in daily work. She also enjoys the variety her job offers – no two days are exactly the same.
Saarinen describes the work community at KLINGER Finland as truly pleasant, with a warm and encouraging atmosphere. Everyone has the opportunity to develop their skills according to their own interests. Saarinen herself has taken full advantage of these opportunities, earning certifications such as the HR license and the occupational well-being license, and participating in training on topics like law, invoicing, and taxation.
She also feels that KLINGER Finland supports employee well-being in a comprehensive and long-term manner. According to her, employees have good opportunities to influence their own work: development ideas are welcomed openly, and the use of remote work is flexibly supported.
