On Sunday, May 4, 2025, KLINGER Finland joined the international Wings for Life World Run as part of the KLINGER Group’s united #teamKLINGER.
The idea behind the event is simple but powerful: to run for those who can’t. All participants across the globe start running at the exact same time – 13:00 (UTC+2) – and instead of a fixed finish line, a moving finish line known as the Catcher Car starts 30 minutes later and gradually catches up with runners. Each participant’s race ends when they are overtaken.
KLINGER Finland was represented by 13 runners who participated either individually or in small groups in different parts of Finland. Globally, #teamKLINGER included around 150 participants from 25 group companies in 19 countries.
United by a common goal
Matching running shirts helped build visual unity, but above all, participants were united by the shared goal: to run for those who can’t. The international event, organized by the Wings for Life – Spinal Cord Research Foundation, broke records this year with 310,719 participants from 170 countries. People ran, walked, or rolled together for a cause that truly matters.
The KLINGER Group covered the registration fees for all employees, and since 100% of the fees go directly to spinal cord research, #teamKLINGER donated over €5,000 through this event to support critical research efforts.
Team spirit and joy in movement
In addition to supporting a meaningful cause, the 2025 Wings for Life World Run also strengthened team spirit, a sense of community, and joy in physical activity across borders and time zones.
KLINGER Finland is proud to have been part of this global initiative and warmly thanks everyone who took part – every step made a difference!
