KLINGER Finland has been serving Finnish industry for over 85 years. This long history is reflected in deep customer understanding and comprehensive solutions that support customers’ business operations.
“We have a unique combination in the Finnish market: a long history, our own manufacturing, a wide range of products and services, and a solid international group background,” says Managing Director Esa Virtanen.
The company’s roots go back to the 1940s, when it was founded to support Finland’s defence and critical infrastructure. Over the decades, its operations have grown to cover valves and gaskets, product marking and camera solutions, as well as sensor technology.
“Very few companies in Finland have such an unbroken history. It gives customers confidence that we will be there also in the future,” Virtanen continues.
Finland’s widest product range enables complete solutions from one place
One of KLINGER Finland’s key competitive advantages is its ability to offer extensive solutions from a single supplier.
“If a customer is, for example, building a pulp mill, we are able to supply the entire valve and gasket package from one place. We offer everything from simple manual valves to special solutions that require a high level of technical performance,” Virtanen explains.
On the product marking side, KLINGER Finland’s offering covers the entire process from equipment, software and labels all the way to robotics and quality control cameras. The company is also the only Finnish manufacturer of labelling machines with its own Ventus product line, which enables a tailored and individual marking solution for the customer.

“Instead of individual machines, we can offer our customers an entire line that handles product marking, palletizing of products as well as pallet labelling. We also provide comprehensive support services such as installation, preventive maintenance and remote support,” says Sales Director Jari-Pekka Eskelinen.
Sensor technology and machine automation solutions further complement the overall offering. Smart sensors and measurement solutions improve process reliability and support predictive maintenance.
Product deliveries are supported by warehouses in Masala and Kuopio. “In terms of availability, stocked quantities and above all delivery reliability, we are among the top players in Finland,” notes Toni Ålander, Sales Director of ECONOSTO Oy, which is part of KLINGER Finland.
Innovative services and a high level of customer service
KLINGER Finland’s service offering is constantly expanding with new solutions that support the efficiency of customers’ production. One example of this is the monthly-fee leasing service for product marking, which offers even smaller companies the opportunity to adopt modern marking without major investments.
Advanced services also include 2D-modelling for gasket customization and material analysis, as well as comprehensive solutions that support annual maintenance shutdowns. With 2D-modelling, a gasket can be modelled accurately directly on site, without drawings. Material analysis, in turn, makes it possible to determine the composition of metal components quickly and safely directly at the customer’s premises.

In addition, during annual maintenance shutdowns, a trade container can be brought to the customer’s plant area, where gaskets and small valves are immediately available, and gaskets can also be cut to suit the needs on site.
“We also work on weekends when necessary. It is important for us to serve our customers in critical situations as well, so that operational disruptions can be kept to a minimum,” says Sales Director Annika Koskinen.
Responsibility and global expertise – locally close to the customer
KLINGER Finland aims to achieve CO₂ emission-free operations by the end of 2026. Practical measures are already well advanced: the energy used in the properties is CO₂-free, the vehicle fleet is rapidly electrifying, and logistics chains are continuously optimised.
“Our goal is to be carbon neutral in terms of our own operations. This creates added value for our customers, and we want to be at the forefront of development,” Virtanen emphasizes.
KLINGER Finland is part of the international KLINGER Group, which operates in more than 60 countries. International resources and strong technical expertise provide customers with reliability and continuity, while the Finnish unit operates in an agile way and close to the customer.
“We can utilise the extensive expertise of the entire group, but also share our own know-how. For example, in the special expertise related to the pulp industry, Finland is a forerunner within the group,” Virtanen concludes.
