KLINGER Finland Oy and the Danish company Universal Robots (UR) have signed a partnership agreement covering the sales and integration of UR cobots for palletizing and product labeling automation needs in the packaging industry.
Cobots are collaborative robots that do not require safety fences around them, thereby saving floor space. These collaborative robots are designed to operate within the same workspace as humans. This makes it easier for companies of all sizes to leverage automation, which is why collaborative robots have been transformative in numerous applications. The first palletizing cobots will be installed for KLINGER Finland’s customers during the spring of 2024.
“KLINGER’s excellent understanding of customer needs, outstanding service, and high-quality products have ensured sustainable success year after year. It is a great honor to be part of creating added value for KLINGER’s customers. KLINGER will be a key part of Universal Robots’ solution offering in Finland,” says Miikka-Pekka Jokinen from Universal Robots.
“UR’s cobots are an excellent addition to KLINGER’s diverse and high-quality solution offering tailored for the packaging industry. It is great to establish long-term cooperation with an innovative market leader,” says a satisfied Jari-Pekka Eskelinen from KLINGER.
Universal Robots’ mission is to make automation accessible to everyone, everywhere. The cobots are developed and manufactured in Odense, Denmark, and over 75,000 units have been deployed worldwide. UR is the clear market leader and pioneer – the new fifth-generation cobots have once again taken collaborative robotics to a new level.
