SUSTAINABILITY

KLINGER Finland is a responsible and future-oriented partner

KLINGER Finland – vastuullisuus

Sustainability is an integral part of KLINGER Finland’s identity and corporate culture. We conduct our business in line with the principles of sustainable development – covering environmental responsibility, social responsibility, ethical business practices, and quality management.

We operate within the process industry and are aware of the risks and potential environmental and safety impacts it entails. Therefore, we provide carefully considered and well-designed solutions that support the safe and controlled operations of our customers. For the sake of our environment, ourselves and future generations, we want to contribute to a safer and cleaner living environment.

We continuously strive to improve our sustainability efforts and operations in accordance with sustainable development, both domestically and internationally. We believe that companies addressing the challenges of sustainable development will succeed in the long term and generate value and well-being for their stakeholders and the surrounding society.

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we monitor our progress and maintain our quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety policies. This includes operating instructions, internal and external audits, and management reviews.

Certified and reliable management system

KLINGER Finland’s sustainability efforts are supported by internationally recognized certifications and recognitions that reinforce the transparency, quality, and reliability of our operations. KLINGER Finland Oy has a certified management system based on:

  • ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
  • ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System
  • ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Standard

In addition, our company holds several external recognitions for financial stability and responsible operations, as well as an EcoVadis Bronze Medal, which is one indicator of our commitment to sustainability within an internationally recognized assessment framework.

Our sustainability work is also guided by

  • KLINGER Code of Conduct, which outlines the principles of ethical and responsible behaviour for the entire organization
  • KLINGER Group’s Sustainability Principles (ESG), which ensure that the Group’s common guidelines are followed across all subsidiaries:

Journey toward a lower-emission future

KLINGER Finland aims to minimise CO₂ emissions from its own operations by the end of 2026. Practical measures are already well underway: our facilities run on CO₂-free energy, our vehicle fleet is rapidly electrifying, and our logistics chains are continuously optimised.

“Our goal is to minimise CO₂ emissions in our own operations. This creates added value for our customers, and we want to be at the forefront of development.”
Esa Virtanen, Managing Director of KLINGER Finland Oy

A responsible partner network

KLINGER Finland also requires its stakeholders and suppliers to follow the principles of sustainable development and to comply with internationally recognised guidelines such as the UN Global Compact, ILO Core Labour Standards, and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. This ensures that our sustainability efforts extend throughout the entire supply chain.
